As the Christmas season draws near, Jules is working remotely through the Walk Me Home service, which assists women who are out alone at night, while also keeping an eye on his sleeping daughter. On December 6th, he receives a distressing call from Klara, a woman who has become the latest target of the Calendar Killer. This perpetrator is known for leaving a blood-written message, compelling the victim to either commit murder or face their own demise by a specified date. Klara is enduring spousal abuse at the hands of her husband, Martin, with whom she shares a daughter named Amelie. Overwhelmed and exhausted, she feels incapable of fighting back and has resolved that she would prefer to take her own life rather than become a murderer, all while attempting to outsmart the Calendar Killer.
